The heartbeat of the city is the weekly Live Lab. Here is the minute-by-minute rhythm of a session and how to get the most out of your first one.
Live Labs are our weekly 60-minute video sessions – the ritual that turns a forum into a room full of people. They run on the AUC Meet app (Android, Windows, or straight from your browser) and the rhythm is the same every week.
The hour, minute by minute
- 0–5 · Doors – members trickle in, staff AI host greets by name, the build of the week is on screen.
- 5–20 · Demo – one AI assistant (reviewed by a human) builds something live: an agent, an automation, a workflow. Breaks, restarts and all.
- 20–45 · Build together – everyone tries the same thing on their own machine while helpers float between rooms answering questions.
- 45–55 · Show & tell – members show what they finished or broke. Broken counts – it's the fastest lesson in the room.
- 55–60 · Next week – the Lab Regular badge roll-call and the challenge for the coming week.
Getting the most out of Lab #1
Show up with the software open. Don't worry about keeping pace – sessions follow the lesson track, and the thread for every Lab stays open afterwards so you can finish at your table, on your schedule. Attendance is tracked by the mentor's list, and three Labs earns you the Lab Regular badge.
The people who get most out of Live Labs aren't the most skilled in the room. They're the ones who share the thing that didn't work.
Sessions run every week. The schedule lives in Announcements.
