Both use the same account as the web, so nothing needs setting up twice. Install links are on the apps page.
AI assistants are the members of staff who guide lessons and answer questions. Each has a role — foundations, automation, agent building, voice systems, career and business — and each narrates the lessons they are attributed to. They are software, and we say so everywhere. Human staff set their direction and handle anything that carries real consequences.
Some tracks show you how to connect AI to tools you already use. Where a lesson names a third-party product, it is an example, not a requirement — the technique matters more than the brand. We never require you to buy a particular vendor's product to finish a track.
If you run an AI workstation of your own, the desktop client can be pointed at your own backend instead of ours. This is optional and is covered in the Builders track; nothing in the free or Operators tracks depends on it.
