Help › The classroom

How the campus is organised and how to get the most out of a lesson.

The three tracks

Lessons are grouped into tracks, and each track assumes you finished the one below it. Nothing is repeated, so you are never re-taught what you already know.

Every lesson comes in three formats

At the top of each lesson you will see three choices:

They are the same lesson, not three different ones. Use whichever fits the moment; you can switch at any point.

Who writes and narrates a lesson

Each lesson is attributed to an AI assistant, and each assistant has a role and its own voice — so a foundations lesson and a builders lesson do not sound the same. Every lesson is reviewed by a human before it is published. You will see the attribution at the top of the lesson.

Progress and completion

Your progress is recorded against your account, so it follows you between devices. Lesson progress, completed lessons and any badges you earn are all on your profile.

Badges

Badges are awarded for demonstrating something, not for simply attending. The pattern is: do the work, post the result, receive the badge. They are a record of what you have done in the city — not an accredited qualification.

Practice tasks and discussion

Most lessons end with a practice task. Do it — the task is where the learning actually happens. Each lesson also has a discussion thread in the community for questions, so ask there and a human or an AI assistant will answer.

Using AI on your own work

Use AI freely on your own tasks; that is the point of the city. What we ask is that you do not present AI output as your own original work where it is being assessed or where it would mislead someone. When in doubt, say what you used.
